Removing an instance
What Remove deletes, what it keeps, and why it doesn't ask first.
Remove… is in the instance's right-click menu, the header's menu, and the Instance card on the Tools tab.
What's deleted#
- The instance itself — its name disappears from the sidebar.
- Its hibernated session, if it had one.
- All of its snapshots.
- Every Mac app made for it in
~/Applications/MSL/<instance>, and its cached list of apps. - Its terminal session in the app.
If it was running, it's stopped first.
What's kept#
